The AA UK have finally got off the fence and actually called for the scrapping of smart motorways (or accepted that a massive majority of their members want this)
Up to now it’s always been “need more refuge areas” “we’d LIKE to see changes” “we’ve been ASKING”
With a platform the size of The AA, the budgets, and the resources they could have stopped smart motorways before they even started, but “working with” (i.e. networking, diplomacy, staying on the right side of, etc) the government was too important.
Are you a member of the AA? now they’ve actually started to represent you for the money you pay them, make them shout louder, not bury it politely.
Why does a broken widow have to give up her career to constantly go on TV, arrange protests, run websites and social media and now arrange an exhibition the size of a rugby pitch! to say what needs saying, why dont these people do what we pay them for?
With someone other than the AA? (RAC, Green Flag, etc) ask them when they are going to even start earning the money you pay them?
