We had an awful experience on the M1 south of Leicester which was ALR. We were in lane 2 and the lorry just in front and to our left suddenly swerved into our path to avoid a stationary van on the inside lane. It could have been very serious and was made worse by the fact we couldn’t see the broken down van from where we were. It’s all very well for the lorry to see the problem and take avoiding action but where do you swerve to when all lnes are busy? Nightmare.
