Mike Rawson is an ex Traffic Sargent who has been actively campaigning against smart motorways since the beginning. He has written letters to anybody and everybody he can, he has followed cases, requested reports, chased documents and helped push processes further than they would have otherwise gone, with his substantial and informed knowledge on the subject.
For the past 6 months he has been trying to get Essex police to take the matter of the deaths of Sevim Üstün, 49, and Ayse Üstün, 68 on the M25, (which the Judge stated had been caused by the smart motorway) further.
All the way through he has been hindered by procrastination and lack of help but the latest reply in downright inflammatory and liablous! (if this had been sent to me I would be seeking legal advice!)
In response to challenging yet another refusal by Essex police to take available routes to effect some change, Mike was told the following “your complaint is an attempt to manipulate the complaints procedure to obtain the outcome you desire” !!!!
