Support is growing for our campaign calling for smart motorways to be scrapped. Nottinghamshire Live has joined calls from bereaved families after 79 deaths on roads where there is no hard shoulder.
Diana Smith said she welcomed our campaign and our calls for a meeting with the transport minister. She also said she was in ‘disbelief’ over Nottinghamshire County Council’s decision to vote against a motion calling for them to be scrapped.
