**Please help keep people safe, because we can’t**
There will be another DYNAC outage this Saturday and next Saturday from approx. 10pm until the early hours of Sunday morning. The control rooms will have no control of signals and signs, all over the country. DYNAC is the software used to control the technology we were told would offset the dangers of the hard shoulder being removed from “Smart Motorways”
Message from front line worker “National Highways thinks that’s a good time to do it because less people will be on the road. That attitude fails to consider the many, many motorists who will be travelling back from events, concerts, theatre, cinema, holidays, visiting loved ones etc, etc.
They’re doing it because the system is still failing, and the last resort is ‘turning it off and on again’. It would be funny if it wasn’t so dangerous
Those of us on the frontline are absolutely terrified. Yet again our nerves will be shredded.
Please help keep people safe, because we can’t”
No doubt NH will repeat “We have robust and well-rehearsed mitigation measures in place” but one of the people quoted in the media saying that, is named on the email below, showing that clearly isn’t the case. (CHARM is the name of the project team rolling out DYNAC)
