I keep seeing the construction sites when I’m out and about, it’s actually going on in quite a few different motorway locations around here at the moment, but this is the first time I’ve caught the public notice that spells out the extent and TIME SCALE!
So National Highways removed the hard shoulder, but told us not to worry because a few metres of randomly placed ‘refuge’ made up for this, now not only are they closing the refuges for up to “19 months” but they are closing MULTIPLE CONSECUTIVE refuges!!
So no hard shoulder and no refuges for miles and miles and miles
